Is this a good novel synopsis?

Detective Philip Garson was stressed about his life as a cop, contemplating weather or not he should quit. When one man threatens the life of thousands after the death of his wife, he discovers a hidden secret about the government. He only has a few weeks to find the person who killed her, or life in New York City will be devastated.
