Getting a car title quick for a salvaged vehicle-HELP!?

the mechanic is trying to do what is called a mechanics lien and it is easy yo do in that state. they could have easily gotten the last persons who owned the cars information for a few dollars from the dmv, so while you are spinning around not knowing what is easy to do they can get a lien on the car. personally I suggest you stay out of this whole stupid mess, obviously if the dip stick brother can not remember if he paid for the car or not he is smoking dope and drinking and aint got a clue. had the title been done a year ago, none of this would have happened. a crappy car is not worth the hassle it is causing. step back and realize what a joke this is and let it go.
