Are Christians who commit divorce for any other reason than adultery and remarry?

Living in sin? It says in the bible that someone who does this is committing adultery. Does this mean that someone who is guilty needs to divorce their current spouse and be alone? As far as I can tell this is the case. I realize that, especially in the US where divorce is rampant, this will not be very popular. But, is it not the truth?
