Why are Christian opponents of homosexuality not against adultery or fornication?

Being against homosexuality is a prejudice which has existed for centuries and still exists. Adultery is a form of heterosexual activity against which there is not such a lot of prejudice - its merely a complaint you are doing it with more than one person. I am struggling so bad with this issue. I am so sick of seeing men degrade women and call them names for sleeping around. Well a lot of men that call women names are sleeping around themselves. That's a sin right to sleep around when not married? Fornication? So then why do men feel they have the right to judge women who sleep around because in a biblical sense they are both sinners for sleeping around and both in need of repenting. So why does society glorify a man and say "high five man you got her nailed" when in all reality he is a sinner to and so is his supportive friends. That bothers me so much is how a sinner can condemn another sinner who is lusting and having sex just like he is. Am I right?

What exactly am i looking at?

So me andante friend were walking along railroad tracks looking for railroad ties on order to sell them as scrap. What we didnt know is that that's trespassing and theft. I used to do is a child with my grandma so I had no idea. After we got caught by police he asked to see my registration for my truck. When I opened the door he peeked his head in and smelled weed. I didn't smoke that day on account of I just got wisdom teeth out. My friend smoked a bowl while we were walking the tracks and the leftover smell just stunk up the car from how hot it was that day. Our citations said if we don't show up, a warrant will be out for our arrest and we will have a $2,500 fine and we will be going to jail for 11 months at the maximum. But what happens if we straight up don't go to court? They have our addresses, but are they really going to drive 18 hours to our houses to arrest us all because we had a small amount of weed? What would happen if we don't show up for our court dates?

I have never studied religion but what do think of my synopsis derived from religious fundamentals?

Why does god throw all these challenges on my family?

I'm 18 and I live in Brooklyn in a harsh neighborhood. First I'll begin with my beliefs. When I was younger, I didn't believe in god even though I was baptized and christian born. Lately I've been feeling more spiritual with myself and even though I didn't believe in god, I still read about Christianities history and laws (due to my huge interest in history). In return, I had my car vandalized for $10,000 of damages (because of one of my friends actions), last week again all my tires were slashed (again because of something other people did) and I can't do much about it, even though I never meant the people that did this to me any harm or scams. On top of that, a year before, my dad had an affair with my mom and left us, took almost everything we had from us, and left us in bankruptcy. Its just me and my mom living in a rented apartment with low on money and my mom is trying extremely hard to find a job. She's been having health problems because of the seperation and her emotions are getting worse rapidly because she's losing hope of finding a job and our cash reserves are running very low and I pray for the best, mostly for my mom even before myself. In my junior high school and high school years, I never had friends and instead everybody would always make fun of me because I couldn't properly adapt, instead of partying I would stay home and read about politics, military, history, and music because those were my interests but everybody around me thought otherwise. I never had a girlfriend because I never was the type of guy to have sex with a girl and leave them or play around with their emotions because love around here is just a game, and all the girls that I liked have rejected me always. As for my drug abuse, I do them significantly less as before and been trying to just get away from everyone I know for a while now, because theres no trust here at all between people that I've even known for years, which led to my car being vandalized more then twice and other instances which cause a high alert for me and my mom, which naturally makes my street experience rise. Me and my mom go to church every now and then and I still like to talk with god and ask him for help, but everything just seems to get worse, that I only have enemies around and no real friends, not me nor my mom. I don't think I've ever sinned so much to deserve all this and I ask for forgiveness for anything bad that I've done. I heard that karma usually hits hard for something my family has done before, but this is too much, will god ever help us? I just have no clue where else to turn too.

Can it be reduced to at least half? I REALLy truthfully did not know. I have not received a ticket in 8 years and this is my 2nd citation in the 10 years I've been driving. Idea for a movie script?

I want to make a serious movie over the summer, but don't have anyone with good ideas for a script. So any ideas of where to start would be appreciated. Urgent question to Christians about repentance and restitution?

A few years back I used to lie on my time sheet at work and put more hours than I actually worked and so i got paid more money than I earned. Now that I have repented and given my life to Christ (though still struggling a bit with leaving sin completely), I want to return the money I wrongfully took. I have estimated that I was paid 500$ that I did not deserve during my time at the job. Security and speed aren't issues as it is built on Linux. The hardware is incredibly above average for a netbook - plenty of RAM and good video. The only real drawback is it only has a 16 GB hard drive, but it sounds like you will be mostly using the internet anyways which is exactly what it is designed for. I can't comment on the sturdiness of it though yet as it hasn't came out quite yet...

Write it in a linear fashion, even if the book itself is nonlinear. The synopsis is just the plot summary, so you don't need to explain where stuff is actually revealed in the book, you just need to report what happened.

I received a ticket in statesboro, GA in feb. 2011. I was not going to pay the ticket. It was "obedience to a traffic device"--he pulled me over for turning right on a red light. There was not a sign that said no turn on red, so i drove. I feel he was only trying to meet a quota. He was very rude, and I addressed that to him. I forgot the court date bc i was in school. Busy art student. So, i recently found out that my license were suspended. The only way that i could handle anything, is w/ a license in hand, so i paid the ticket. An unnecessary 275.00. I had to get my license re-instated --damn GA took another 105. that is 380.00 GA has from me, when the cop was WRONG. I have seen so many drivers proceed through that light (cops, school bus drivers, delivery drivers, etc.), and i am the only one to get stopped. I need to fight this. This has hurt me, because the judicial system (when i had to pay this ticket) automatically agreed that the cop was right and I was out of line. I can admit when i am wrong and this is NOT one of those times. If anyone can tell me who i should go through, what i need to do, and how i need to go about doing it, i would be very appreciative. What if our creator intended us to not ever know who created us? What if we will never know find out who created us? There are people in this world who spend there whole life searching for an answer. Some people find that answer, or so they think. I quote- "There is an answer to everything, even if the answer is death". I see religion as something that pulls us out of the gutters and gives us hope, the belief of a god that loves us, even when no one else does. Religion should not be preached or forced upon. I, Personaly, find it absurd when people state: "you are sinning against god for being gay, lesbian, or of a different sexual orientation" or "you must repent or you will burn in hell". It is fine to believe, pray and attend church, but when you force your beliefs into non-believers lives, where it is possibly unwanted, just smile and walk away. Some people go overboard with non-belief (Atheism) and protest against religion, the thing that gives people hope. No one has proof of god, but that gives no reason to bash other peoples beliefs. So much global and, mostly, civil war has been created by the beliefs of people who think they know wright from wrong, who think they know what you should follow or believe. Take Hitler for instance, he thought god was on his side, the swastika symbol was a German cross. Of course Hitler was horrible, but when average people on this site protest for what's wright and what's wrong, maybe you should stop and think next time your going to post something like "homosexuality is bad" or "religion is stupid" or "repent or you will go to hell", are my intentions really any better than there's, am I any better? Atheist and Christians on this site should stop protesting and respect eachother. It's good to have an opinion but don't go overboard.

Car accident with no insurance... help!?

I really need help on this.. My dad "gave" me his car but was still making payments on it so it is in his name. I asked him for the insurance and he said he had it but he would always find a way to not give me the papers... over 140 mph in a Porsche and had a blood alcohol level of .20, almost 3 times the legal limit. Plus, he's had numerous vehicle citations before and previous drunk driving convictions. Also, it's not like this guy was Tom Hanks or Robert De Niro, he wasn't an actor, he was an amateur stuntman, and a JACKASS. It sounds pretty good, although I'm not going to question why you need a synopsis if you're just going to give them the book. The third paragraph reads far less smoothly than the first two, especially when you start mixing past perfect and present progressive. Perhaps you could say something along the lines of, "I know, objectively, that these actions are eroding the bind that holds my family together." That seems more clear to me, but it's a matter of stylistic opinion.

its totally not an issue about the universe setting, acually its kinda a cool concept of having a futuristic world but the people in it deal with daily life stuff that we'd see in this universe, personally i havent seen it before and it could really work well. from the above it seem that you want to focus more on characters rather than the world their in, so why not state at the begining what type of universe its based on and leave it at that, if you worry too much about it, it might cause issue in your story later on. As for the two stories above i acually like them, there really good ideas, you're characters are believable and you've given the characters backstory's some thought aswell. i think you should defently keep them. dont think too much about the world that its set in, most of the manga's and stuff i've read don't really explain the world they're based in very well, you just tend to notice the differences from the real world yourself. hmm seems i really rambled on, my bad :/ anyway i hope this helps and best of luck!

i imagine the terms of your probation were stay out of trouble, period. you didn't. hence the violation of probation charge you will be facing. even though the charges (motorcycle) were dropped, you still messed up. if i was the judge, i'd let you go, but i'm not. my best guess would be that you will face additional probation (1-2 years) and more community service hours (50-100.) can't imagine you'd get any jail time. a lot is going to depend on what you could have gotten instead of probation on your original charge. get yourself a lawyer and good luck.

Car accident with a police?

So my husband had a car accident with a police officer.... The cop ran a red light with out having his siren on and even though both my husband and the cop tried breaking it was too late... My husband's car got pretty damaged no one was injured or taken to the hospital. They didn't give my husband a citation because it wasn't his fault all they gave him was a case number to give to his insurance and they let him go. Our insurance is having to cover the damage and we are having to pay the deductible from our pocket. Also after that day he has had really bad headaches so i tried scheduling him an appointment to see a dr but they asked me if he had been in any accident so i said yes and then they told me that they couldn't see him because they might need papers signed by a lawyer.... so my question : should we hire a lawyer or would we be wasting our time? has anyone been through something similar?

I got into a bad car accident and was rushed off to the hospital can I sue?

I got into a car accident because of a defective feature on the car. I blacked out during most of it, but I remember hitting my head but Im not sure what I hit it on. The airbags did not go off so it is assumed that I hit my head on the steering wheel. The car is a brand new 2011 Dodge Challenger and NOTHING should have been wrong with the car at all (One of the wheels just popped off after an episode of violent shaking). My 4 year old son and I were rushed off to the hospital in an ambulance. My son was checked out first and they said there was absolutely nothing wrong with him (according to paramedics the car seat was strapped down so well, that it didnt even move during the whole ordeal). I, on the other hand, had a concussion and severe case of whiplash (thank god for seatbelts). I was pretty lucky considering the extent of the damage. Anyways, while I was at the hospital recovering, the officer who was at the scene of my accident came in and handed me a citation for something like having an unsafe vehilce (stupid) and a ticket for a suspended license. I had no idea my license was suspended and had no reason to think I did because a couple weeks earlier I had been at a road block and the ran my name in the system because I didnt have my license on me. They told me I had a warrant for an FTA on a speeding ticket, but that was all. They didnt say anything a bout a suspended license and they let me go. I called the DMV and they said my license has been suspended since January of this year!!! So I was shocked to hear that because I hadnt received any mail letting me know anything about..... ANYTHING. I was planning on getting a lawyer and suing Dodge for the defective car they sold me and they damages done to my neck and head and emotional blah blah (you know the works). But will this license suspension be a big issue? How much does it affect the case since I didnt receive any letters about the suspension and the whole road block issue with nobody telling me my license was suspended. And if my license was suspended since the begining of January and I bought the car (and insurance) in April, how come the suspension didnt show up then? Im confused.... Please help

Why does God treat sin like cooties?

God deals with evil in a very childish manner. Why do people believe we are more sinful now than everyone was in biblical times. They seem to forget about the human sacrifices, genocides, incest, and torture that happened back then, but somehow gay marriage, masturbation, and marijuana is worst. These are apparently, the reasons why God won't show is face, according to religious believers, however he had no problem doing it 2000 years ago. Please explain this logic. Dreams are usually representations of your subconscious or what you did the day before. Normally dreams do not hold any specific meaning and are usually random. Depending on how to want to look at the dream it could mean many different things. For one it could mean nothing but on the other hand you probably believe that you are a kind caring person who would help someone who is in need and you would want a little compensation for all of your deeds that you do. For me personally if I have a dream that I remember clearly I usually look for deeper meanings even though that I know deep down that they are usually random and don't mean anything. Depending on your outlook on life I say that you should keep doing good deeds and helping others in need. There are not too many people like that in the world and we could always need more people to help out those in need. Who knows maybe your kind deeds may be rewarded someday.

If I sell a car, can I be held responsible for any citations on the car after the sale?

In 2004 I sold a vehicle. Now here we are 7 years later, and I'm trying to renew my license and the RMV is stating that I have a $250 citation for vehicle abandonment from 2004. I own a manga where the full title is "Step Vi. Dynasty Tang" written by Yu Yanshu. How can I help myself to not break down and continue being the 'rock' for my friends and family?

My friends and family consistently have problems added on to already traumatic lives and I feel incredibly selfish when I feel myself falling apart of simple things. I really want to help everyone I care about, but I'm in the midst of going through puberty, and I'm already dealing with my own problems on top of having to help everyone else I know with their problems. I don't want to complain about my life, because I know its pretty good compared to some people I know, but it hasn't been a cake-walk either. I really hate feeling like I'm not in control of my emotions. I previously was incredibly good at keeping them locked up so I could be the 'rock' for everyone who needed my help. I built up a reputation for being a very stable and calm individual who could handle anything that was thrown at me. I was known for helping people out and knowing just the right thing to say, but after a chain of events that I don't wish to discuss[Synopsis: One of my friends died because of this chain of events and everyone has been very depressed], I've been left completely drained. I no longer have any idea what to say to any of my friends when they come to me for advice and I feel like I'm letting them down. Since I've been feeling hollow, everyone else's world has seemed to begin crashing down, and everyone else seems more stressed. Even under conditions like these, where a friend's death is involved, I'm known to remain calm and be the 'rock', but this time, I was just shattered. I really need advice on how to take all this stress in stride. Someone, can you please tell me how to beat back my emotions? I don't need anyone coming in here and telling me that I need to express my emotions freely. Everyone else I know is already doing that and they need someone who doesn't do that ever to be there for them. I can't let anyone know how entirely broken down I am, or they will loose faith in my bravado, and feel a constant need to look out for how I feel, which is exactly what I am trying to avoid. And please don't tell me how unhealthy it is to bottle up my emotions. I already know... That's why I sometimes feel physically ill when horrible things happen. But I have an outlet. It just really isn't enough. But again, I can't let on just how much I feel like an empty husk... Guild Wars 2 Engineer, What do we think?

I think the engineer fits perfectly well in the time and environment that Guild Wars 2 is playing in. We're 250 years into the future from the original Guild Wars, and the cyberpunk/post apocalyptic feel of the advancements since then, really fits well in such a future world. And I believe the engineer is a very well designed class - and probably a lot of fun to play, even if it requires a lot of strategy/planning ahead to get it right and to stay alive. A lot of people love playing this kind of classes (me included), and I'm glad ArenaNet catered to that part of the community. Ofcourse, not everyone has to like it, and not everyone will play it, but it's a pity you let the reveal of this one profession decide that you're not going to play this game... Guild Wars 2 will be a great game in so many ways - it would probably still be a great game even if only half of what ArenaNet have announced for it, makes it into the final game.

About a year and a half ago, so lady named Whimpy became friends with my mom. Whimpy introduced my mom to dating, and ever since me and my have been fighting. DMV suspended my license by a mistake? Please HELP!!?

Hi guys. i'm from cali. I just got a letter in the mail from DMV that my license has been suspended due to not showing up at the court? I showed up at the court on 5/11/2011 and went to see the judge and got the extension for a fix it ticket until 6/17/2011. I'm going into court tomorrow (6/16/2011) to show my citation that was signed by chp officer. I'm so scared.
