How to become a director?
I am currently in year 10 in the british educational system, following the IGCSEs. I aspire to become a director, and I put all my focus in media studies. I am great at planning synopses, cinematography, writing scripts and it takes a massive amount of stress and pressure to make me lose my calm, which never happens. The problem is, I've never actually filmed anything proper, no short films, no mini stop-motion films, not even any vlogs -I lack the necessary equipement (I have a camcorder but it has horrible quality). From what I've heard, you are at an advantage in the long run if you already start early in life, but how can I do that? Also, do you think I should take drama for my A levels? I mean, a director should know how to act if he has to tell others to do so, right?
