My social studies teacher is having us write an article synopsis on the topic of entertainment?

What exactly categorizes entertainment. I asked her this in class and she refused to answer my question. I know movies and books would be considered entertainment because the definition of entertainment is things that appeal to people, but couldn't things like hunting for awesome houses in the real estate market also be considered entertainment? The weird thing is that this is a social studies class and we are learning things that have barely anything to do with social studies like new computer gadgets. Can you name some things off the top of your head that have to do with entertainment? Thanks.
