Chromium and Chrome OS or competitors?

Security and speed aren't issues as it is built on Linux. The hardware is incredibly above average for a netbook - plenty of RAM and good video. The only real drawback is it only has a 16 GB hard drive, but it sounds like you will be mostly using the internet anyways which is exactly what it is designed for. I can't comment on the sturdiness of it though yet as it hasn't came out quite yet...
